Had a super helpful and informative experience with Skip! He was great at explaining different product options, specifically feeders, different feed mixes, and hanging systems. He was super nice and I felt much more knowledgeable after talking to him!

I have been coming here for years. Brushing aside their male manager's gruff demeanor because I love the store. They are always so helpful! But today he made a comment to another customer - wth? - like I wasn't purchasing quick enough b/c they were closing early. I only asked where to quickly find a replacement hook for their pole system I already own. I think he just jumped to judging the situation wrong, so I shouldnt let it - but it just left me feeling down instead of the usual joy of visiting a happy place filled with good people, great gifts, and the fluffy black cat. I'll just continue to try to go when he isnt working.

I love this store so much. The helpers are so kind and friendly, and their selection is incredible. Whether you are new to the world of birds or a seasoned birdwatcher, you will find your people and all you need right here.

Amazing store! The employees at Wild Birds Unlimited were sooo kind and helpful in helping me find some great bird feeding supplies for my budget as someone with very little knowledge about birds in general. For those on the fence and thinking of going the easy route, ITS WORTH IT TO GO TO THE STORE! These are the type of employees and customer service interactions that make supporting small businesses so worth it. Happy to report my cats and I are so happy about my supplies from Wild Birds unlimited, we went from just a few sparrows to a variety of birds that come visit.

I needed gear to hang our first birdhouse properly and the folks at WBU in Highland Park were great. Not only the perfect hanger but a ring to protect the opening from predators. Now we await two fashion forward birds; my grandson is very happy. If you agree that knowledge, courtesy and friendly attitude make a better “shop local” experience try this place.
